grand haven

I missed the 10 on 10 this month because I was just getting back from Grand Haven and had a full work week ahead of me and frankly, I was drowning in a sea of vacay pics and didn’t feel like I could sort through them all in time. Aside from the 10 on 10, I don’t really post pictures of my kids here on the blog or to my business page on facebook (my personal page is a whole other story!) but this was one of those trips that stuck with us for whatever reason and will remain magical for a long time so of course I’m posting a ridiculous amount here.

We visited Traverse City a few years ago and absolutely loved it. We knew we would be exploring other areas of Michigan with the kids in the future. This year, we enjoyed a relaxing week in Grand Haven living at the beach, wandering around exploring the little town and for the most part enjoying doing absolutely nothing. It was The Finney’s first trip to the beach and while the first two days were COLD and gray, the other five made up for it. Our cottage, RUTH’S RETREAT was absolutely DARLING and was a few short blocks to downtown. We checked out nearby Holland and Muskegon, rented jet skis, watched the most amazing sunsets and had our fair share of ice cream.

We’re already planning a trip back next year.

Quick note…. a week at Ruth’s Retreat is the Grand Prize in a raffle to benefit a sweet little girl named Hannah Mae who is celebrating her first “heart birthday” after having a heart transplant at four months old. More info on the HERE. (I am in no way affiliated with Ruth’s Retreat or the contest).

Thanks for stopping by!
